Did You See Google’s New Name?

Did You See Google’s New Name?

One of the my most favorite things about blogging is that I can just clear out my brain, and no one can say anything :-) That’s the kind of post you get today!

So the house is coming along, slowly but surely. It’s impressive how much money I’ve spent at Ikea and Wal-Mart. Seriously. I could have fed a small country for a month, and we still don’t even have curtains on our living room windows! Husband loves that by the way, that the neighbors and anyone walking by can see the 55″ TV, the laptop, hard drive and printer, and pretty much everything else all day long while we’re at work. Honestly, I’m trying, but buying curtains is hard, and something I’ve never done before, I’ve always had mini blinds.
I’ve been to the store every night after work and even a couple of times at lunch, and  I’m convinced that finding the right living room curtains is harder than finding the quiet spot in my mind so I can meditate!
But tonight is the night. If I don’t pick out some curtains, husband is going to hang blankets, and I’m sorry, that’s just not how I roll! I may have some Okie and Redneck in me, but I’m not hanging blankets over my living room windows thankyouverymuch. I guess I should just be happy he doesn’t want to cover them in Duct Tape!

In the whole moving process, I boxed up all of the shoes I can’t wear anymore because of my ankle/foot. Now, when I moved to Oregon, I got rid of 23 pairs of shoes. How the hell do I still have an entire UHaul box full of shoes???? I mean, there’s got to be about 30 pairs in there, and I can’t wear any of them!
My first instinct was to throw them out because seeing them depresses me, but I knew I couldn’t afford for the shoe God’s to be that angry with me, so I’m going to donate them to my Mom’s church. Hopefully they find some feet that aren’t broken and will love them the way they should be loved!

Have you ever watched a crack spread across your windshield? I never had…until this morning. I started my car and noticed a crack on the lower passenger side of my windshield, and went back inside to tell husband. By the time I got back outside it seemed like it was taller, but I figured I was losing my mind (not far to go!). Well before I hit the freeway, I was actually watching it spread! By the time I got to work, it had spread all the way across to the drivers side and started traveling up. Guess Sasha’s gettin’ a new windshield :-) Not a horrible thing since it’s so pock-marked it makes a 15 yr old boys face look clear!

Um, I think that’s all I have right now…happy Fool You day!

Hi, I’m Your New Neighbor

Hi, I’m Your New Neighbor

So I met our next door neighbors…they immediately started ranting about how other neighbors had complained about their dog and how unfair it was, etc. Well, we saw why yesterday and last night. All that dog did was BARK, and then he barked, and then he barked some more, just for good measure! Seriously, at 11pm last night, he was barking because they weren’t home yet and had left him outside. I don’t typically wish harm on animals, but I asked husband if he had his pellet gun…then I realized I should be using it on the poor dogs owners, because they’re the dumbasses that left him outside!
Otherwise they seem fine :-/
On a happier note, I love our house, even though right now it still looks more like a war zone than a house! But I’ve been working on the important things today…shopping for bathroom and kitchen sets, returning the UHaul, and taking a bath ;-) No, really, I have the biggest most awesomest bath tub ever!!! Look:

And now I’m blogging ;-)
Speaking of UHaul, I gotta say, they really took care of us! We were supposed to be paying $.69 per mile, and they gave us 100 free miles, and then only charged us $.29 per mile after that. That was seriously above and beyond, and we totally appreciate it!!
Well, pics of the house coming soon (like in the next couple days). For now I should make it look like I did something other than spend money and bathe today!
PS: Love “borrowed” internet!
